Rui é um professor de música e vive insatisfeito com a sua vida. Um dia, ao ver uma t-shirt com uma foto dos Backstreet Boys, tem a ideia de criar uma boys band como solução para os seus problemas. Para isso, pede ajuda a um agente artístico e amigo de longa data, para encontrar os restantes elementos da banda. É assim que tudo começa em DA MOOD! Como em todas as boys band, esta será́ uma viagem com desilusões, desentendimentos criativos, lutas pela liderança, excessos de droga e álcool, discussões por causa de dinheiro, assédio constante de mulheres… Tudo a que uma biografia de estrelas de rock tem direito.
